Starting the tasting at 6 while the Sun was still out, we tasted an intense and refreshing, sapid Chardonnay Fiano from Epicuro Wineyards, followed by a bright ruby traditional Chianti, very smooth on palate and a generous bouquet.
With evening going through, percentage of alcohol increased. A 13.5% ruby colour Syrah from Lazio, very rich, elegant and persistent.
While enjoying the first 3 wines, we had chance to uncork the last 2 bottles, which needed slight breathing before serving. One was the Gran Appasso 2016, a Negroamaro based wine blended with Sirah, Cabernet and other autochtony grapes from South East Part of Italy. This spectacular wine is made on the traditional 'Appassimento' method. After fermentation, part of the wine is aged in oak barrels to smoothen the sharp taste, by giving a result of an impressive balance.
We closed the night with a Susumaniello 2018 from 'Masca del Tacco'. Susumaniello is one the rarest grapes in Italy among the 1200 present on the Italian peninsula. It is also known as Somarello Nero (Black Donkey). 98 points awarded by Luca Maroni makes a guarantee of the quality of this ruby red wine. Fresh and juicy, with elegance and long lasting finish.

It was a privilege to introduce our Collesi Craft Beer during Brickstone Private Event @Ultima's office. We went through the full process to obtain a fantastic product, from Malts to Water from Tenute Collesi, at 0 KM.
It was a really special night, where we could taste the unique taste of our Collesi Craft Beer with some special Parma Hams.
